We felt the best way to celebrate the centenary was to work through the past 100 years, so in effect we went from 1911 through to and concluded in 2011 in 6 ½ hours! This is how we did it!
Pre-Dinner Drinks: |
In the Orangery at Savill Court, Egham, we created a drinks reception area that reflected iconic Britain through the ages. We made props such as a Red Telephone Box, Pillar Box, Century Guard, a British Bull Dog and then created a 'Tardis' tunnel to take guests through to an iconic early 1900's pub setting – The Racal Arms! |
Dinner: |
Sir Winston Churchill greeted each guest in turn as they made their way into the ‘Post War Street Party’ we had created and our 14-piece band played an array of well known wartime songs. |
Post-Dinner: |
To bring the event up to modern day, we had a ‘Robbie Williams’ tribute act burst into The Orangery with ‘Let me Entertain you’ and encourage all guests back into the Great Hall where we had transformed it into Modern Day – the balcony was starlit, table centres were changed, the dance floor went from Wooden Parquet to Black & White and full lighting effects on the LED wall created a stunning transformation. Robbie Williams tribute then introduced his fellow tribute band mates in ‘Take That’ who performed a fabulous set to bring the event to a close. |
Testimonial
"We set Clare a challenge this year to organise the celebration of our Centenary and as usual she did not disappoint.
There was an array of entertainment and much organising to do but with Clare’s management, organisational skills and attention to detail all ran extremely effortlessly, even when the air raid siren went off and all guests had to evacuate the Great Hall went seamlessly!
The entertainment was outstanding; the room decorations from the 1911 pre-dinner drinks through to 2011 were exceptional. A fantastic night was enjoyed by all and many accolades received to say it was the best event so far!
Thank you Clare, I know I worried at times that we were trying to do too much but true to your word it was a great success.
Look forward to working with you again next year".
